Donut-Man Wednesday!

Donut-Man Wednesday!
As some of you may know, for the last 9 years, Javi's dad, "Tata" comes over and brings some weekly staples: Gallon of Milk, Half n half, bagels, cream cheese, Creamora, and of course, chocolate donuts! (He now brings 2 boxes of donut holes as well!) All the kids look foward to wednesdays. Frankie has affectionately named him "The donut Man". If he has left before she wakes up, she asks: "Was the donut man here????" And now Liliana is wise to this! She flips her lid when i bring her out of her crib and she sees a slew of donuts on the counter. This is the first time i let her "go at it alone"!!!!
She clearly LOVED it!!! Posted by Picasa
This is the scene in our backyard! What a nightmare! So, we decided to remodel our pool finally! I really didn't think it would be that big of deal. Wrong. Turns out most companies i contacted wouldn't even do it cuz the pool deck was so cracked...blah blah blah. So...we decide to replace the deck as well. And in the "Espinosa do-it-yourself" fashion; Javi decided to do the job himself! What the heck, save a few thousand $$$. Turns out it is a little harder than we thought. Yes, Javi is THE BOMB!!! He did all the jack hammering himself, and loaded it all in the dumpster himself! I must say, we all pitched in and loaded concrete for about a week. The boys and i tackled one pile in a week, and everything you see here.....Javi did by himself! And, as may be typical in home improvement projects, Javi is also raising the block wall by 2 blocks and stuccoing it with a friend. So i will update the progress of this little endeavor!

By the way, the pool is scheduled to begin on Friday. We'll see!
To Be Continued!

The GPS kids

This is one of my favorite photos. Looks like a magazine add to me. Too bad Emilio's face is cut off! And the one of all four. Well, this just may be as good as it's going to get! Getting four kids to cooperate is quite possibly one of the hardest things to do. Which i suppose is ok, it will be a good laugh when they are older!

I never really thought i would get into this "blogging " thing. I thought....who would really want to read the mundane daily happenings of a stay at mommy of 4? (5 including the husband) But I've been thinking. I love reading other peoples blogs. You can really learn something from another persons life. So. I think I will give it a go. As my husband (Javier) says: "I think we should let doctors study our kids! Maybe let them attach a GPS system to their little bodies and track their trail all day long!" Sounds like a Family Circus cartoon!
So yesterday, needless to say, i thought i was going to have to rush Liliana (15mos.) to the hospital for stitches. She simply tripped in the hallway, but managed to belly flop head first into the hinge of the hall closet! Screaming and blood dripping. The other kids scrambling to help, checking out the place of impact. They were like little CSI investigators checking out a crime scene! We should have drawn a chalk line around her little body where she fell! You know, i always like to find some humor in this stuff!!! tee hee! Well, she didn't need stitces, but i did take her to the doc. Thankfully she'll live, unfortunately with a nasty scar in her eyebrow. Oh, well. Maybe we'll tell her it's a birth mark or something, because it will match Cruz's scar in his eyebrow, when Javi nailed him with the shovel! (that one required a ER visit!)  Posted by Picasa
